Elvis Presley’s Twin Granddaughters Harper & Finley Who Loved To Perform With Mom Lisa Marie Now Live With Their Father

Lisa Marie Presley was born nine months after her parents famously tied the knot in a brief ceremony in their suite at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. After Elvis died in 1977, she was listed as a beneficiary on her father’s last will, along with her grandfather Vernon and great-grandmother Minnie. However, they passed away and made Lisa the only surviving beneficiary of Elvis’s trust. In 1993, she inherited her father’s estate, which had grown to $100 million.

Born on Feb. 1, 1968, in Memphis, Tenessee, to parents Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lisa was one of the most prominent celebrity children upon her birth. However, she passed at the age of 54 on Jan. 12, 2023, after being rushed to the emergency room when she was found unresponsive in her California home.

According to TMZ sources close to the scene, Lisa was pronounced dead on Jan. 12, 2023, after she was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, where she was taken after suffering cardiac arrest.

Her housekeeper had found her unresponsive in her Calabasas, California, residence. Her ex-husband, Danny Keough, was present at the scene and performed CPR on her until first responders arrived.

A representative for Priscilla stated on her Facebook page, which read:

“My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital. She is now receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We feel the prayers from around the world, and ask for privacy during this time.”

Lisa was survived by her three children, Riley Keough, and Harper & Finley Lockwood, the twins she had with Michael Lockwood. Since her passing, custody of the twins was transferred to their father, and they have been living together. As the twins grow up, they look more and more like their mother, Lisa.

Lisa was Elvis’s only daughter, meaning her children were his only grandchildren. She had actress Riley and her late son Benjamin Keough with her ex-husband Danny, a musician from Chicago whom she married in 1988 at 20. She welcomed her twins, Harper and Finley, with her second ex-husband, Michael.

Lisa’s life had been troubled since she was born. After her parents divorced, her father died when she was nine. He was 42 when he passed away from a heart attack. On July 12, 2020, it was reported that Benjamin had died after a suicide attempt at the age of 27. He was found with a gunshot wound in his torso.

Lisa died three years after the loss of her son, leaving behind her three daughters. When Elvis died in 1977, he assigned Lisa to be the sole heir of his estate, but Lisa, who was nine years old at the time, could not handle the inheritance until she became 25. When she turned 25 in 1993, the trust was dissolved. She then formed the Elvis Presley Estate to manage Graceland throughout the years.

According to ABC, Lisa sold 85% of Elvis Presley Enterprises, the trust’s business entity, while leaving the remaining 15% to herself. However, she retained ownership of the entire Graceland mansion and its contents, which included the cars, costumes, and awards of her father.

The musician left the whole estate to her eldest daughter, Riley, upon her death. However, a battle to contest the legitimacy of Lisa’s will ensued between Riley and her grandmother, Priscilla. Riley eventually won the suit and became the sole trustee of Elvis’ estate in May 2023.

Over half a year after Lisa’s passing, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner revealed further details surrounding her death. In a report released on July 13, 2023, the cause of death was revealed to be from sequelae of small bowel obstruction — sequelae is defined as a condition that is the consequence of a previous disease or injury.

The Mayo Clinic stated that small bowel obstruction is “a blockage that keeps food or liquid from passing through your small intestine or large intestine.” Causes can be due to “fibrous bands of tissue (adhesions) in the abdomen that form after surgery,” hernias, certain medications and other illnesses.

The report on Lisa’s death said the obstruction was a “strangulated small bowel” that formed from adhesions the musician had developed post-bariatric surgery, also known as stomach stapling.

“This is a known longterm complication of this type of surgery,” the report stated.

The reports revealed that Lisa had two opioids in her system — therapeutic levels of Oxycodone and Buprenorphine, which is used to treat opioid dependence. TMZ reported traces of the antipsychotic drug Quetiapine were also present. No narcotics or drug paraphernalia were found in her home, and urine screening yielded a negative toxicology result.

People noticed the chilling similarities of Lisa’s death to her father, Elvis. According to Mirror UK, Elvis refused to bathe throughout 1975, which resulted in him developing sores on his body. He was also said to have suffered chronic constipation because they found a compacted stool sitting in his bowel for four months on the autopsy report.

When Elvis passed away, he was found in the toilet by his then-girlfriend, Ginger Alden, on Graceland. Lisa, on the other hand, was found by her ex-husband, Danny, at their home in Calabasas, California.

Meanwhile, Michael played a huge role in taking care of their twins. He became the legal guardian for his twin daughters with Lisa in April 2023. However, a picture Priscilla shared revealed that the twins maintain a close relationship with their sister and grandmother.

Priscilla shared the rare photo of herself and all three of Lisa’s daughters on Instagram on June 16, 2023, to mark the twins’ graduation from middle school.

“Happy Graduation girls! You’re now in high school!!! ❤️❤️,” the proud grandmother captioned the photo.

Lisa’s 14-year-old daughters wore black shirts, which were accentuated by their bold hair colors. One had blonde hair, while the other wore her hair red like Priscilla. They also bore an uncanny resemblance to their grandfather, Elvis.

Meanwhile, Priscilla sported a yellow print dress and stood near Riley, who wore a blue striped shirt and a straw hat. The occasion was a bittersweet one for the family, seeing that Lisa, who died six months before her daughters’ graduation, was absent. However, it proved that the Elvis family was mending any rifts that may have existed in their relationship.

Fans noticed the striking resemblance between the twins and their late mother, Lisa, in the comments of Priscilla’s post.

“Omg the dark haired one looks just like her momma! Beautiful ❤️” a fan said about Finley.

“Love this! Just to think Lisa and these beautiful grandchildren wouldn’t have been here without you and Elvis. These girls are BOTH your legacies. Love you all. ❤️,” another raved.

“Finley = lisa,” someone wrote.

“They look so much like their mother? Just beautiful!!” one commented.

“Finley looks so much like Lisa at that age here congratulations girls,” another greeted.

Meanwhile, others seemed to see Harper’s similarities with her grandfather, Elvis: “the girl to the left looks just like Elvis.”
