Donald Trump attended his latest medical exam last Friday
People have been taken aback after the medical exam of United States president Donald Trump was revealed to the public.
According to the White House, the 78-year-old president ‘remains in excellent health’, with physician Capt. Sean Barbabella claiming that his ‘active lifestyle continues to make significant contribution to his well-being’.
In the latest medical exam, the physician also credited the fact that the United States president regularly participates in meetings, public appearances and press availability add to his health, explaining that these appearances are beneficial, along with ‘frequent victories in golf events’.
“President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” the report concluded.
Following the exam, which took place on 11 April, Barbabella said Trump weighed in at 224 pounds, was 6’3″ and his blood pressure was 128 over 74.
This is some pounds heavier than Trump’s weight in his booking records when he was arrested in 2023. There he was listed as 6’3” and 215 pounds.
He also underwent a comprehensive neurological examination, which revealed ‘no abnormalities in his mental status’.
Additionally, the report noted scarring on Trump’s right ear following the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.
It also documented his serious case of Covid-19 in October 2020 when he was campaigning against Joe Biden.
After people caught light of Trump’s weight and height, they couldn’t help but compare it those of many major athletes including the likes of Xavier Legette, wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers, who is 6’3″ and weighs 227 pounds.
Likewise, Justin Skyler Fields, quarterback for the New York Jets, who is similarly 6’3″ and also 227 pounds.
After that there’s also Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, who is 6’2″ and 225 pounds.
Commenting on the viral comparisons, one X user wrote: “We CONSTANTLY talk about how people even of the same height and weight can carry it differently depending on body shape, muscle vs fat, etc. so like what are we doing here.”
Another added: “People of the same weight and height can look very different. A person can weigh 150, lose fat, gain muscle, look completely different and still weigh 150.”
After Trump’s medical, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has since declared of the latest exam: “I can confirm the president is in very good shape.”
